We are the Amazing Polyplush Cats from Washington D.C.. The Polyplush Cats remind people from coast-to-coast and across the pond that Rock-n-Roll is still very much alive! We are a fast paced, high energy, rock-n-roll band starring Catherine Terranova on killer bass and breath taking vocals, Scott Garrish on rock god guitar and Eric Surratt on non-stop viking metal drums.
Our first show was in Washington, D.C. in March 1995. For the next three years,we played locally and regionally (up through and to New York and down through to North Carolina). In 1997 we released our first full length album, "It's a Rock-n- Roll Party!", which reveals much about our persona. By 1998 we decided that the rest of the United States was in desperate need of reminding on "How to make your life a rock-n-roll party!"(now and forever our mantra.) So, in October that year we tore through the eastern half of the the United States. In January 1999 we released "In It For The Money", a six song EP. With our second CD in hand we hit the road again in the spring of 1999 and expanded our generosity by sharing the rock with the rest of the country. That's right, a nationwide rock-n-roll explosion was definitely in need to feed a nation that forgot about rock-n-roll. As soon as we got home a new national tour was in the works for the fall of 1999. On tour we saw the elation we brought to everyone who had been unfairly deprived of live energetic rock-n-roll shows and it was our obligation to help. To bring in the year 2000 we went back into the studio with seven new songs to record our third CD, "Drivin' It Home". Relentlessly we toured throughout the year 2000, with spring and fall national tours. To finish the year out with a bang we toured Europe in December of 2000 (which was unbelievably amazing!).
In the Fall of 2001 we went back on the road for a coast to coast tours, and recorded the limited edition album "The Amazing Polyplush Cats" LP (which we have since sold out of). We started out 2002 with another European rock n roll extravaganza tour and then pounded the US for the rest of the year. In 2003 and 2004 we relentlesly toured and recorded our 5th album "Glamorous" in New Orleans. We released "Glamorous" in 2005 and again toured non-stop in support of our latest effort.
We have rocked 110 cities in 41 states (over and over again) in America and 7 countries and 27 cities in Europe. We put out 5 albums and been on numerous complilations during that time all under our own steam. We have always put our love of music first and i hope that if you haven't already, that you will experience the unbelievable arena rock explosion that we call the Polyplush Cats before you die!!!
